Studio: F45 Training
Location: Copperfield, Houston
Class Type: Cardio
Duration: 45 minutes
Vibe: Chill, welcoming, and high-energy
💎 First Impressions
The vibe at F45 Copperfield was chill but still motivating — probably because I went to a midday class during the week, so it wasn’t super packed. The smaller class size actually made it feel more personal and welcoming.
From the moment I walked in, the coach was super helpful and friendly. He helped me sign in, explained how everything worked, and once class started, he kept the energy up the whole time. Even during those last few seconds of each block when everyone was tired, he was right there hyping us up and pushing us to finish strong.
🔥 The Workout
Before the circuits begin, you’ll do a few warm-up moves to get your body ready. And after class, you have the option to stay for some cool-down stretches, which I definitely recommend if you have time.
Today’s class was cardio-focused, which meant nonstop movement with minimal rest. We rotated through about 9 different sections, and each section had two workouts. Some were bodyweight, and others used weights — with options ranging from light to heavy. It’s always best to start light and feel things out. If it’s not challenging, grab 5 lbs more, or use your next class to level up. Think squats, lunges, core movements, rowing, biking, and even mountain climbers on a BOSU ball. It was a full-body cardio session for sure.
Each station lasted 45 seconds per exercise, with a 15-second break to switch between the two moves. For example, I was doing mountain climbers with the BOSU ball while my partner did speed squats — then we switched. We did each pair twice before moving to the next section.
The instructor went over everything at the start, but each movement was also shown clearly on big screens with a countdown timer, so there was no guesswork. The format keeps your heart rate up, and it was really fast, sweaty, and actually fun. I genuinely enjoyed the class — it was a really good workout.
 What You Should Know
- Bring water — staying hydrated is very important, especially in a cardio-heavy class
- The class moves quickly, so show up early for the demo
- You can go at your own pace — modify if you need to
- It’s cardio-heavy, so bring a towel and prepare to drip
- Coaches are helpful, and they’ll correct your form if needed
- Pricing varies — weekly plans range from $55–$99/week (1x, 3x, or unlimited). Unlimited averages around $200/month, which is still less than a personal trainer.
- Drop-ins & promos — Trial offers, class packs, and drop-ins (~$30) are available.
Kid-friendly — Children are welcome. For younger kids, just make sure they stay seated during the workout. If needed, they can stay in a stroller to keep things safe and distraction-free.
✨ My Take
If you’re looking to burn calories, boost endurance, and feed off the energy of others — this is it. F45 Copperfield delivered a fast-paced, structured workout that made 45 minutes fly by. The setup is ideal if you want results without having to plan your own routine.
What I love about classes like this is that they give you the personal trainer feel without the personal trainer price. You get guidance, structure, and motivation from a coach, but in a group setting. That’s what Studio Gemz is all about — showing you that you can hit your goals through fitness classes. Whether you’re just getting started or adding to your current routine, F45 could be the perfect class to support your journey.
💬 Studio Gemz Tip:
Don’t stress about being perfect. Just focus on moving and breathing. Go at your own pace — don’t try to be fast or keep up with anyone else. You have to start where it works for you and gradually progress as you stay consistent. Even if you’re new to cardio-style workouts, the F45 team keeps you motivated — and the class flies by before you know it.Â
