Let’s talk ONESWEAT.
I checked out their HIIT class and whew… they don’t play. I even arrived early and saw the class before me walk out completely out of breath—I thought, “it can’t be that bad…” Yeah, I was wrong 😅
But let me walk you through the experience:
🏃♀️ First Impressions
As soon as I walked in, the energy was solid. The staff was super friendly, and if it’s your first time, the coach will walk you through everything — from how the treadmills work to how the class flows. They make sure you feel prepared and not lost once it starts.
Also, yes — they have showers and cold, eucalyptus‑infused towels waiting afterward. Towels are available — just make sure you grab one before class starts. You’ll definitely need it.
🔁 How the Class Works (Signature Format)
The class I did was their Signature Workout — and it’s structured around constant rotation between the treadmill and the floor.
- Some people start on the tread, others on the floor.
- We all warmed up first — treadmills did a light jog while the floor group stretched, then we swapped.
Once warm-up was done, the workout started: treadmill → floor → treadmill → floor — switching four rounds total throughout class.
🔥 What to Expect at ONESWEAT
ONESWEAT is all about combining cardio and strength in a way that’s efficient but still challenging. Their workouts are set to music, with treadmill blocks like sprints, endurance runs, sled pushes, and hills — plus quick, timed strength sets on the floor using dumbbells and bodyweight. It’s fast-paced, but you’re in full control of your speed and weights, which makes it easy to adjust based on your level.
🏃♀️ Treadmill Breakdown
The treadmills have three modes:
- Run (standard running mode)
- Floor (pauses the treadmill when you’re off)
- Sled (aka the burner)
We hit sled mode in the middle of class — a 30-second push that definitely brought the intensity. I’ve never used a treadmill sled feature before, so that was new for me, and I want to go back and keep building on it.
Then came the hills — and they were no joke. At one point, the incline hit 20%, and we even went slightly higher after that. I had to push to keep up the pace, but it felt good to challenge myself in a new way.
We closed out with three 30-second sprints — the kind that really push your limits. It definitely emptied the tank. Tough in the best way.
Also, note: treadmill speeds are displayed in kilometers, not miles — so don’t be thrown off by the numbers if you’re used to MPH.
🏋🏾♀️ The Floor Work
The floor portion was strength-based — short, quick movements like thrusters and dumbbell combos done in seconds-based intervals. We weren’t there long, but it was just enough to get your heart rate up and your muscles working.
At first, I thought, “just a few seconds per move?” But I felt it. My muscles were on fire and I was definitely sweating.
🔊 Studio Vibes
The studio itself is dark with a moody vibe — blacked out with glowing blue lighting (not neon, more cool-toned and chill). The music was loud and motivating, and the coach was amazing. Super clear, kept energy high, and made sure we were all good with form and pace.
📝 Final Thoughts
ONESWEAT lives up to its name — I walked out thinking yeah, you really do sweat. I won’t say you’re drenched, but you’ll feel it for sure. I left feeling sore, in a good way, and I definitely want to go back to try more classes. The short intervals really snuck up on me, and the sled feature was something I want to keep using. Between the hills, sprints, and strength work, it was a solid full-body challenge.
Next up: ONESWEAT Pilates. I’ll be trying that soon and will definitely share how it goes!
